WATCH UConn's Obi Melifonwu defies gravity at 2017 NFL combine

It’s time to get to know the name Obi Melifonwu, if you don’t know it yet.

He’s a defensive back prospect out of UConn, and on Monday, he absolutely obliterated the broad jump at the NFL Combine.

That’s just absurd. Now watch him jump 44 inches in the vertical jump:

Crazy. What’s sort of crazier is that he’s from the same program that produced Byron Jones, who became a 2015 first-round pick for the Dallas Cowboys after jumping a world-record 12 feet, 3 inches in the broad jump.

The conclusion? I’m not really sure. Maybe the Huskies just produce amazing leapers. If only football involved a lot of broad jumping — UConn would win a lot more.

Anyway, that’s quite a coincidence. These two guys look like superheroes.
